The Locked Display Case
During Library Week, the oldest book in the school was placed in a glass display case. Priya leaned closer and noticed a folded note between two yellow pages. The librarian smiled. 'That note is a copy,' she explained. 'The real one is kept safely in the archive.' Priya grinned, relieved that curiosity had not put history at risk.
How to Choose a Book
A useful way to choose a book is to read the blurb, scan the first page and check whether the topic interests you. If there are more than five tricky words on one page, the book might be better for shared reading. A book that feels slightly challenging can still be a good choice if the story keeps you curious.
Book Club Message
Book Club meets in the library every Wednesday at lunchtime. This month we are comparing stories that have brave characters. Click the reading list to see the choices. If you want to suggest a book, add its title to the shared form before Friday.
