Number and Algebra
- Count, read and write whole numbers to at least 120
- Skip count by 2s, 5s and 10s from zero and from any starting number
- Add and subtract small numbers mentally using strategies like counting on and counting back
- Understand that the order of parts doesn't change the total (for addition)
- Solve simple word problems by choosing to add or subtract
- Continue and describe growing and repeating patterns using shapes and numbers
Measurement and Geometry
- Name and describe 2D shapes and 3D objects using features like sides and corners
- Measure length, capacity and mass using uniform informal units
- Tell the time on an analogue clock to the hour and half hour
- Name the days of the week and the months of the year
- Give and follow directions to move around familiar spaces
Statistics and Probability
- Gather simple data by asking questions and making lists
- Display results using objects, drawings or simple picture graphs
- Answer questions about what the data shows
- Identify outcomes of everyday events as likely or unlikely
